villa Laxvarpet

Villa Laxvarpet, the cabin for rent, is a brand-new log cabin, finished in 2021. It has all conveniences for use all year round. The cabin is situated on one of the most beautiful places on the island Suur-Pellinki (in Swedish Stor-Pellinge) in the archipelago of Porvoo. There are places for 6+1 adults to sleep in three bedrooms and in addition four places to sleep on the loft. One of the bedrooms is separated from the others and has a separate entrance from the terrace. The nature and the activities of the birds on the islet can be admired directly from the bed through the big window of the bedroom.

The open floor plan links the modern kitchen with the living room and it is easy to socialize even for a big group of people. The big windows with a view to the open sea makes the surrounding nature part of the furnishing and atmosphere.

It is nice to relax in the wood-burning sauna after a fishing trip or mushroom picking and to, during a autumn storm, watch the waves hitting the cliffs from the sauna window. The warm cliffs are a fine place for a picnic in beautiful summer days and in the winter time you can go sledging right onto the ice of the Gulf of Finland. The floor heating and the wood-burning stove will keep your feet warm in the cabin also in the winter time.

The large covered terrace is like a second living room in the summer time. It is easy for everyone to go inside the house through the big patio doors in the evening or to go down to the sea for another dip in the sea before going to bed.

There is a wireless WIFI in the cabin enabling teleworking in scenic surrounding.

Fantastic environment

Close to the cabin is a charming forest and by the sea smooth rocks. The shallow gulf is a perfect playing ground for the children. The view to the Gulf of Finland is fantastic and in the distance the cabin of Tove Jansson can be seen on Klovharun. There is no jetty, but the rowing boat, which is part of the summer equipment, can easily be pulled up on the beach.

Villa Laxvarpet is an excellent place for the whole family to spend a holiday but also a peaceful hideout for those who come to enjoy nature. The view to the sea and the horizon is like a work of art, which colours and nuances constantly changes.

On the island there is a thematic adventure for those who want to walk in the footsteps of Tove Jansson and the Moomins and solving riddles at the same time.
